They did a great garage and the installers really knew what to do with the whole process. They came out, ground the floor down, coated it and flaked it, then put the top coat on the next day. We ran into an issue as the humidity caused the top coat to not dry correctly, the installers offered me a solution and came back the next day to redo the top coat. "We have never had an epoxy floor coating system installed so were unsure what to expect of the process. Look no further than Indy Floor Coating if you are seriously considering a concrete floor coating. We talked to and received several quotes from local Indianapolis floor coating companies, and it was very apparent to me that Indy Floor Coating was the most upfront and honest company that I talked to. Indy Floor Coating provided a high-quality product at a very competitive and reasonable price. I spoke with Susan over the phone on several occasions and also traded numerous emails wither her. She happily answered all of my questions (there were a lot) and also helped us pick the flake color of our floor by sending us pictures of other jobs they had completed. It was a true pleasure working with Susan. The thing that stood out to me the most about this company was their genuine honesty about all aspects of our project. One of the competitors that provided a quote was adamant that our floor needed a moisture barrier prior to installing the coating system, which was going to add several thousand dollars to the project price tag. I mentioned this to Indy Floor Coating, and they assured me it was unlikely one would be required based on a visual inspection of the floor; however, they would use a moisture meter once the surface was appropriately prepped to be sure. Fortunately, we did not require the moisture barrier which saved us $$. Beware that some other companies in town use this as a scare tactic and additional sales ploy. Additionally, our garage floor was significantly damaged and required a lot of patchwork prior to installing the floor coating system. One of the competitors (who offered a lifetime warranty) opted not to pursue the project for fear that any concrete patchwork would fail and suggested that we should just have a new garage floor poured (which would cost thousands of $). Again, I mentioned this to Indy Floor Coating who assured me that failure of the patchwork was unlikely, but if any issues arose in the future, they would be able to come out and remediate. Again, another example of upfront honesty. Finally, on the scheduled day of install, we had an issue where a portion of our floor got wet when removing our water softener. The crew showed up to perform the work and noticed the portion of the concrete that was damp. Rather than ignoring the issue and performing the work, their recommendation to me was to delay work for the day and come back the next day to resume the project. This was to avoid any potential future points of failure of the coating system. They understood that while this was an inconvenience for us (and them), they did not want to compromise the quality of their work. This honesty and integrity is not something you will find in every company. We absolutely LOVE our new garage floor coating and would recommend Indy Floor Coating to anyone looking for a concrete coating system. Thanks for a great experience!"

As for the actual work of grinding, painting and sealing the work, they were efficient and professional. No sloppiness, no spills or paint splashes were left behind. They also had lots of color schemes--the "chips" of color applied were rich in texture and amount--the finished job wasn't just a few flakes scattered here and there. The top coating looks to be very durable and I doubt I'll ever need the 10-year warranty, but it's nice to know it's there. Within 24 hours we could walk on the floor and begin placing items back in the garage; we could've parked cars after 2 days, but waited an extra day for good measure. "I originally contacted Indy Floor Coating in spring of 2018 to get a quote for resurfacing my existing garage floor. Due to some other home repair projects that popped up unexpectedly, I had to wait four years to move forward with the garage. However, when I reached back out after all that time, Indy Floor Coating was immediately responsive and even offered to honor the original quote. It was like we had never missed a beat. After a few more delays that were entirely my fault, Indy Floor Coating provided me with a new, but absolutely reasonable quote (materials had gone up). They then worked with me to identify the correct flake color and also worked around my very particular scheduling needs (quite the diva, me), booking my install date several months out, as I requested. When the day finally arrived, they were here on time and performed the job in the way I had been told they would. They even coated the step at my interior door so that it matched the rest of the floor. Now I have a gorgeous floor that is a HUGE improvement over the older surface.
